THE CHACO
The Chaco, generally so called the entire western part of Paraguay, from the Paraguay river to the
boundary with Argentina and Bolivia in the west and the north. Seventy years agou still unknown,
mysterious, intriguing and wild - also called the Green Hell. After that, because of assumed oil
deposits the chaco war with Bolivia started. Almost at the same time the Mennonits, which made a
particularly milk-economically meaning center from an inhospitable region owing to their diligence,
immigrated to this region. So this forgotten region came into the footlights. Mentioned by may
persons still Green Hell, the Chaco with its rich Fauna, in particular its immense bird wealth
and with its specific Flora and millions of palms, has fascinated a lot of visitors.
The temperatures in the Chaco are very variable (from proximity freezing point up to over 50 degrees Celsius), and who
says that it does not rain in the Chaco, was convinced at least during the nature phenomenons of the NIÑO.
The Chaco is a synonym to adventure and excitement, combined with certain risk. Over the risks you will be
informed from our experienced tour guide, so that a trip to this national area becomes a tremendous experience.
Persons who are not attracted by adventure will not like the Chaco and they would better desist from a visit

The calm, the restfulness and the contrasting wild nature blend into forming the character of this country in
which we live. It is the moment in which we again feel for the country. Sentiments that we believed had
been relegated into oblivion are re-vitalised through the unique scenery, the people and its still virgin nature.

The following year I booked an adventure trip to Paraguay. There I had the chance to take
part at a cattle trail. Wow, this was something! The greatest experience of my life
(after I got used to the horrible dust and my wound butts.)
In between I was there for 12 times. The romantique camp-fires in the evening
will beat every trip to the Caribbean. And if a cowboy will take his guitar and
sing a melancholy song - that's just perfect. I am still hearing the chirps of the cicadas.
